Locating Federal Arrest Records On the Net

It's a good idea to go online to find federal arrest records, as long as you understand the pitfalls.

As I write this, the government has not yet made an official website where you can search for all of the arrest records in one place. However, most of the police departments and law-enforcement agencies across the country to publish their recent arrests on their websites, and sometimes this information is also made available on the official websites run by government departments in each state.

it's a shame that this is not co-ordinated. What I mean is each police force does things in its own way. Some of them make these arrest records available from their website, while other ones require you to sign up with your e-mail address to get each week's new arrest records. Yet others publish the information as Word files, and other ones publish it as a spreadsheet.

As if that wasn't complicated enough, the organisation responsible for publishing this information is different in each state will stop that means that each state you have to learn exactly which website to go to, and it can even vary based on which county you're looking for information about. All of this can make it very difficult to find federal arrest records.

Because of all these different places you can look and different formats you can get the records in, it can become very very difficult to find the arrest records you need. It indefinitely burns up a lot of your time, which is the exact opposite of what you want. Fortunately there is a website which you can visit which does not belong to government, but is made by a private company it gives you all the information you need. The data does come from the official arrest records, but is stored in an easy-to-use format all you need to do is dial the website and searched just like a regular search engine like Google. It will find information for you.
